Our client is seeking a hands-onHuman Resources Generalist to support employee relations, recruitment, training, benefits administration and health and safety initiatives within a manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for hourly and skilled trades positions.
• Support employee relations, workplace investigations and disciplinary processes.
• Coach managers and supervisors on HR practices and employee matters.
• Coordinate training and development programs and maintain training records.
• Respond to employee and management inquiries regarding HR, benefits and health and safety.
• Maintain employee files, attendance records and HR documentation.
• Support performance management, employee engagement and retention initiatives.
• Help ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment and health and safety legislation.
• Assist with the implementation of HR programs and workplace safety initiatives.

• At least 3 years of experience in Human Resources, with exposure to Health and Safety.
• A college diploma or certificate in Human Resources Administration, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Ontario employment legislation, including the Employment Standards Act and Human Rights Code.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
• CHRP designation, or a commitment to obtaining it, is an asset.
