Housekeeping Manager

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for cleanliness, orderliness, and appearance of the entire Hotel.
• Ensure rooms are made up and all offices and public spaces are maintained in accordance with Choice Standards
• Prepare and maintain Annual Housekeeping Budget along with Executive Housekeeper
• Maintain par stock of guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen
• Organize inventory
• Pay particular attention while organizing pest eradication activities
• Develops and implement housekeeping systems and procedures
• Prepares reports for management information
• Verification of supplies consignments
• Conducts Weekly Room Inspections as agreed to by the Executive Housekeeper, General Manager, and Choice Standards            
• Assists in the Recruitment of all new housekeeping staff members.  Schedule and train all new housekeeping staff members
• Knowledge of Health and Safety standards within the Housekeeping Department
• Manage the Housekeeping Department's daily activities, including appropriately cleaning all guest rooms, offices, and public spaces.
• Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct
• Planning, organizing, and directing team members to ensure the highest degree of guest satisfaction.
• Purchase, re-order, and maintain housekeeping supplies and inventory.
• Ensures that the laundry van is in good condition.  Note:  Licensing/inspection dates/services as required and inspects for damages daily
• Prepare end-of-month report inclusive of department and employee highlights for Executive Housekeeper
• Monitors Laundry stain wash process.  Reports on recovery and discards
• Ensures all garbage shoots are cleaned/operable
• Conducts roll calls with all department team members 
• Possess working knowledge of property management system (PMS)
• Monitors condition/status of OOO (out of order) rooms in conjunction with the Executive Housekeeper, Chief Engineer, and Front Office Manager
• Participates in Choice University online training courses and assign them to departmental team members
• Keep current with all Choice Standards to ensure adherence and timely implementation
• Assist with the preparation of departmental weekly payroll
• Keep current with industry standards for Housekeeping and general hospitality trends.
