Housekeeper – Job Description
A hotel housekeeper is responsible for keeping guest rooms and hotel areas clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Duties include:
Cleaning and sanitizing guest rooms, bathrooms, and showers.
Making beds and changing bed linens.
Replacing towels, toiletries, and other guest supplies.
Vacuuming carpets, sweeping, mopping, and dusting furniture.
Removing trash and keeping rooms fresh and organized.
Cleaning hallways and other assigned hotel areas.
Reporting maintenance issues or damaged items to management.
Following hotel cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards.
Completing assigned rooms within the expected time.
Providing friendly and professional service to hotel guests.
Skills and qualifications
Good attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift.
Good time-management and organizational skills.
Previous housekeeping experience is helpful but may not be required.
