Position Purpose

AtSaint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, the Nursing Supervisor (House) serves as the on-site leadership presence during nights, weekends, and holidays. This role ensures safe, high-quality, patient-centered care across all units by coordinating nursing operations, supporting staff, and resolving clinical and administrative issues. The supervisor acts as a resource for nursing teams and collaborates with other departments to maintain continuity of care and operational efficiency.

What You Will Do

• Provide on-site nursing leadership during nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Support and guide nursing staff across departments.
• Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and patient flow.
• Resolve clinical and operational issues in real time.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Current Connecticut RN license.
• The ideal candidate will have experience in inpatient acute care nursing (3+ years) and leadership roles such as Critical Care, Charge Nurse, or Assistant Nurse Manager (2+ years).

Preferred:

• BLS or CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Fundamental Critical Care Support (FCCS).
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).

• 12-hour shifts. Shifts will support Nights and Weekend hours

Compensation and Benefits

• This is an hourly position with a range: $44.50 - $70.50 / hour
  • Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
  • Applicable shift differentials are available.
