As a software developer, you will play a key role in the development and improvement of services related to email security – today, Hornetsecurity protects more than 1.4 billion mailboxes!
You will continuously learn new technologies and collaborate closely with a global team of colleagues in Spain, Canada, France, Germany, and Argentina, contributing to groundbreaking projects in global email security.

- Design, implement, and maintain backend services and features within amicroservices architecture.
- Take technical ownership of applications and services and contribute to architectural and technical decisions.
- Guide and support developers in their daily work, providing technical direction and helping them grow their skills.
- Mentor team members, share knowledge, and promote engineering best practices across the team.
- Help improve theperformance, scalability, security, and reliability of our products.
- Actively participate in code reviews and ensure high standards regarding code quality and maintainability.
- Contribute tocontinuous integration, deployment, and DevSecOps practices.
- Work closely with other developers and international teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.
- Support a collaborative engineering culture in which knowledge sharing, ownership, and continuous improvement are encouraged.
- You haveseveral years of professional experience in backend software development and have already taken ontechnical leadership, mentoring, or team leadership responsibilities.
- You have strong experience withmicroservice architectures and REST APIs.
- You are comfortable developing and operatingcontainerized applications with Docker.
- You have knowledge ofGolang, or a solid development background inJava or C combined with the motivation to deepen your Go expertise.
- Continuous Integration and Deployment are part of your daily development practices, and you are comfortable working with scripting languages such asPython.
- You have experience guiding other developers, providing technical feedback, and supporting their professional development.
- You are confident contributing to architectural discussions and challenging technical solutions constructively.
- You combine a hands-on engineering mindset withownership, autonomy, and strong communication skills.
- You are curious, proactive, and passionate about building robust and secure software.
- You are fluent inEnglish, both written and spoken.
