Accounting & Finance Specialist - France

Hornetsecurity is a European provider of cybersecurity and cloud security solutions. Present in 10 countries and with a team of 1,000 employees, including 200 in France, we need you.

As part of the Finance France team, which consists of 3 people, you will actively contribute to maintaining the company’s accounting and ensuring the reliability of its financial data.

On a daily basis, your main responsibilities include:

• Entering, checking, and processing supplier and customer invoices
• Managing day-to-day accounting entries
• Performing bank reconciliations and cash flow tracking
• Monitoring third-party accounts and following up on customer payments
• Controlling fixed assets
• Supporting the preparation of routine tax filings (VAT and other taxes)
• Preparing payment runs

You will also be involved in monthly closing activities:

• Preparing and posting closing entries
• Reconciling and reviewing account balances
• Justifying accounts and analysing variances
• Monitoring provisions, prepaid expenses, and accruals
• Assisting in audit preparation and financial statements

In collaboration with the team, you will also contribute to:

• The continuous improvement of accounting processes
• Optimising tools and working methods
• Ensuring the reliability of financial data
• Maintaining and evolving internal procedures
• Collaborating with internal teams on accounting and financial topics

• Significant experience in general accounting
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and key tax regulations (VAT, taxes)
• Autonomous in day-to-day accounting and closing processes
• Rigorous, organised, and recognised for reliability
• Comfortable in dynamic and fast-changing environments
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with various stakeholders
• Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, common formulas)
• Experience with NetSuite is a plus
• Fluent in both spoken and written English
