The Hornetsecurity SR team manages a business-critical infrastructure that is highly utilized and operates under strict availability and performance requirements.
We operate more than 4,000 servers, including over 300 Kubernetes nodes. Every day, we process more than 200 million analyzed emails and scan over 100 million websites. We store several hundred petabytes of data — all within a 24/7 environment used by customers around the world.
As a Senior SRE, you will be responsible for the reliability, performance, and scalability of our products. You will play a key role between product teams, business teams, and infrastructure, ensuring that technical solutions fully meet functional, operational, and user requirements.
This role requires excellent Linux expertise and a strong ability to make technical decisions, propose improvements, and drive the product lifecycle from an infrastructure perspective.
Product & Team Collaboration
Serve as the SRE point of contact for one or more product teams and participate in technical coordination committees.
Translate reliability and performance requirements into concrete product features.
Work directly with business teams to ensure alignment between functional needs and technical implementations.
Act as an advocate for SRE best practices (performance, resilience, automation).
Define, monitor, and optimize SLIs / SLOs / SLAs.
Analyze incidents (root cause analysis), lead post-mortems, and drive continuous improvement.
Proactively identify reliability risks before any production release.
Propose and validate architectural evolutions to support high user and server volume.
Observability & Monitoring
Design the appropriate monitoring strategy for each product.
Implement metrics, logs, and traces in collaboration with developers.
Build meaningful dashboards and alerts.
Ensure full visibility into service health.
Automation & Continuous Improvement
Document architectures, runbooks, and procedures, and maintain up-to-date technical documentation.
Automate processes and help improve and evolve the products and tools required for operations.
With 5 to 10 years of experience in Linux administration and infrastructure environments, you are capable of making decisions and technically owning part of the platform. You can identify issues and propose solutions in a dynamic, multi-technology, high-volume context.
On a human level, you demonstrate rigor, curiosity, team spirit, and strong interpersonal skills. You communicate clearly, show adaptability, versatility, stress resilience, and naturally bring new ideas.
Fluency inFrench and English is essential, as well as strongLinux expertise.
We will provide training on our internal tools and the group’s specific processes.
