SUMMARY
The Homemaker is a paraprofessional member of the In-Home Services team who works under the supervision of the RN Clinical Supervisor & Administrator. The Homemaker is responsible for performing various household services as necessary to meet the client’s needs.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Responsible to the RN Clinical Supervisor & Administrator and has a support responsibility to other departments as necessary. Â

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain the home in an optimum state of cleanliness and safety depending on the client’s and the caregiver’s resources.
Â
- Perform general homemaking functions including general cleaning preparation of meals, laundry, shopping.
Â
- Report to the appropriate Case Manager any incidents or problems related to his/her work or to the caregiver.
Â
- Report to the appropriate Case Manager any incidents or changes in the client’s behavior. Â
Â
- Maintain all required paperwork, including service sheets, with clarity; and accuracy and submit them on a timely basis.
Â
- Attend all required meetings, seminars and workshops that may enhance job performance.
Â
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
Â
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED equivalent required; and one year of related experience. Must have a valid Florida driver’s license, have reliable means of transportation and have adequate vehicle insurance as prescribed by Florida law.
Â
Current CPR training is required. Level II fingerprint background, drug screen and TB screening are also required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:Â
- Frequent need to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, talk and hear.
Â
- Required to travel to clients’ homes and other sites.
