Home Health Aide

About the position: The successful candidate will assist and provide services in the Home and Community Care Program for LLRIB community members. You will be working in the homes of our clients providing necessary home management, personal care & respite assistance.

Duties:

• Apply knowledge-based, Home Health Aide practice while working independently and in collaboration with the client and other health care professionals to promote independent living of clients;

• Must be able to provide home management, personal care & respite assistance to clients;
• Use skills & interventions to meet physical, social/cultural, emotional & spiritual needs to the clients;

Qualifications:

• Home Health Aide or Continuing Care Aide Certificate.
• Previous Home Care or Acute Care experience is an asset;
• Must be able to work independently & collaboratively with the Home Care Team;
• Must be self-directed & demonstrate organizational skills;
• Ability to speak or understand Cree is an asset;
• First Aid/CPR Training Certifications is an asset &/or willing to learn;
• Basic computer skills required, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, email, internet use, data entry and electronics charting systems.
• Must possess a Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
