Job Title: Hitachi Storage Specialist – GAD Replication

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Hitachi Storage Specialist with hands-on experience in Global-Active Device (GAD) replication, automation using Hitachi Ops Center Protector, and performance analysis using Analyzer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing replication strategies, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high availability across critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• • Design, implement, and manage Hitachi GAD replication across data centers.
• • Configure and monitor synchronous replication between primary and secondary volumes.
• • Ensure proper setup and health of quorum disks for failover scenarios.
• • Use Hitachi Ops Center Protector to automate replication workflows, swap operations, and failover handling.
• • Perform root cause analysis using Hitachi Analyzer for replication delays, failures, and performance bottlenecks.
• • Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure seamless replication and data integrity.
• • Maintain documentation for replication architecture, SOPs, and incident handling.
• • Participate in audits, DR drills, and compliance checks related to storage replication.
• • Provide L2/L3 support for storage-related incidents and service requests.

Required Skills

• • Strong experience with Hitachi VSP series and Ops Center Suite.
• • Deep understanding of GAD architecture, volume pairing, and replication mechanisms.
• • Hands-on with Protector for replication orchestration and Analyzer for performance insights.
• • Familiarity with RAID Manager / CCI CLI for advanced configuration.
• • Knowledge of SAN zoning, multipathing, and storage provisioning.
• • Experience with incident management, change control, and problem management processes.
