Job Title: Spark Scala Java Developer
Location: Toronto, ON - Hybrid (4 Days WFO)
Duration: 06-12 Months
Hourly Pay Rate: 53 CAD/hr.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Spark Scala Java Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience developing data processing applications using Apache Spark and Scala. This role is crucial for our operations in the BFSI sector in Canada.

Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered):

• Proficient in Scala and Java programming.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark (Core, SQL, DataFrames, Datasets).
• Familiarity with Maven for build and dependency management.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem.
• Working experience in CI/CD, Helios.
• Experience in writing Spring Boot Webservices and SQL queries.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications (Nice-to-have skills but are not required):

• Experience in the BFSI sector.
• Knowledge of additional data processing frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities (key tasks and expectations for the role):

• Develop and maintain data processing applications using Apache Spark and Scala.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data processing.
