Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Playwright Automation QA Engineer to join our team in Toronto. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automated testing, particularly with Playwright, and a passion for ensuring high-quality web applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Expertise in Playwright for web automation.
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript and TypeScript; familiarity with Python is a plus.
• Experience with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Solid understanding of QE principles, Agile methodologies, and SDLC.
• Hands-on experience with API testing, cross-browser testing, and performance testing.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve automation issues quickly.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Java, Spring, Selenium, REST.
• Strong test planning and automation testing skills.
• Experience in mentoring junior QE associates.
• Knowledge of optimizing automation frameworks for scalability and reusability.
• Understanding of compliance with security and regulatory standards.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright for web applications.
• Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QE leads to define test strategies.
• Perform functional, regression, and end-to-end testing for complex workflows.
• Optimize automation frameworks for scalability and reusability across portfolios.
• Mentor junior QE associates and contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions.
