Job Title: Java Full Stack Developer

Location: Montreal, QC - Hybrid (3 Days WFO)

Duration: 06-12 Months

Hourly Pay Rate: 45 CAD

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Java Full Stack Developer with a strong background in both back-end and front-end technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and supporting distributed applications in a Linux environment and will be comfortable working in a hybrid model in Montreal, QC.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Full-stack development experience, including Java, JavaScript or Typescript, HTML5, CSS, and Angular (preferably version 17).
• Proficiency in Java (including Java 17 and/or Java 21), Maven/Gradle, and Spring Boot.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and Spring Security JWT (or OAuth2).
• Knowledge of cloud-based databases such as Neo4J and Postgres.
• Experience in microservice implementation and debugging in a Linux environment.
• Strong understanding of data structures/algorithms and software design.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab or Jenkins and version control systems like Git/Gerrit.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus Grafana and ELK/EFK Stack.
• Experience with Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, and Spinnaker.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Linux and Unix systems.
• Familiarity with unit test frameworks such as Junit and Mockito and test automation frameworks like Selenium, Cucumber, and Cypress.
• Proficiency in using IDEs like IntelliJ IDEA for backend and Visual Studio Code for frontend development.
• Experience with Free Open-Source Software and license handling.
• Experience working in an organization with cross-functional teams and Agile software development.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Java and Angular.
• Troubleshoot and provide support for application development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
