Technical Lead - iGaming Platform

This is an incredibly exciting opportunity, where you have the chance to take ownership for the backend development of a newKotlin-fuelled platform, working with a team of iGaming veterans who have time and time again built products which today hold leading positions in the industry!

This is anoffice-based role withsome hybrid flexibility, offering a salary ofup to €90K + bonus.

Kindly note that due to the urgency of the role, only candidates who are based in Malta can be considered.

Role & Core Responsibilities

• Accept full technical ownership of the backend development of the platform from development and testing through deployment

• Lead and form part of the backend team to create architecture which is simplistic, scalable and sustainable

• Ensure regulatory requirements are considered, together with stability and reliability

• Liaise with frontend team to keep a shared view and ensure you're building the same product

• Work closely with external development partner to shape technical solutions, reviewing continuously to ensure top standard of engineering quality

Education, Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience in high-transaction backend end role within iGaming - non-negotiable

• Strong team & backend product lead skills

• Strong technical judgement, confidently taking ownership for team output

• Highly collaborative and experienced with managing relationship with external contributors

• Senior and hands-on Kotlin/Java developer

• Happy to work with AWS & MySQL

• Comfortable working in a lean, fast-moving environment

• Experienced with building and scaling high-transaction platforms for regulated markets

• Willingness to work hands-on while managing and building a team
