What You’ll Be Part OfÂ
As an Requirements Engineer / Product owner, you will play a pivotal role in transforming product strategy and customer needs into clear, high-quality technical requirements for next-generation automotive solutions. Working closely with Product Management and cross-functional engineering teams, you will drive requirements definition, feature prioritization, and end-to-end traceability to support successful product delivery. This role offers the opportunity to contribute across Product Ownership, Systems Engineering, and Requirements Engineering while ensuring alignment with Agile development practices and automotive quality standards.
How You’ll Make An ImpactÂ
This role is a combination of traditional Product Owner, Requirements Engineer and Systems Engineer.
Proven experience translating business objectives into clear technical requirements and converting them into actionable Agile user stories, acceptance criteria for Epic/Features, prioritize features for each PI release, and delivery roadmaps
Partner with Product Management to create product roadmap, convert product vision and market requirements into clear, implementable technical requirements that enable predictable product delivery.
Coordinate requirements analysis activities with System Architects, Hardware Leads, Mechanical Leads, Product Manager, Project Managers and other stakeholders.
Execute requirements engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with product-specific processes and ASPICE requirements.
Own the setup, maintenance, and continuous improvement of IBM ALM DNG infrastructure, including formal modules, link structures, baselines, and traceability models.
Establish and maintain complete traceability between system, safety, hardware, software, and verification requirements.
Clarify ambiguous, incomplete, or conflicting requirements with internal teams and external customers to ensure a common understanding and successful implementation.
Monitor, analyze, and report requirements quality, traceability coverage, review status, and compliance metrics.
Lead formal reviews of requirements modules and support preparation for ASPICE assessments, customer audits, and certification activities.
Identify opportunities to improve requirements engineering processes, methodologies, and tool usage, contributing to continuous process improvement initiatives.
Solve moderately complex requirements challenges with minimal guidance while supporting and mentoring colleagues on best practices and process compliance.
Experience in Automotive electronics products.
What Makes You A Strong FitÂ
5+ years of Product Owner, Systems Engineering, Requirements Engineering, or Product Management experience within automotive or embedded systems.
Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering field.
Experience with requirements management tools such as ALM, CCM, IBM DOORS or IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (DNG) in production projects.
Excellent communication and coordination skills into drive technical teams.
Bonus Points if You HaveÂ
Experience developing new test frameworks
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, or equivalent Agile certification.
Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile backlog management tools.
Experience defining system-level requirements for hardware/software platforms in automotive or embedded electronics.
