OverviewÂ
We're seeking an experienced and skilled Shop Mechanic to join our team. The Shop Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various types of heavy equipment, including rock drills, excavators, skid steers, lifts, concrete pumps, some proprietary equipment and other types of heavy construction equipment.   
This position is based in Williamstown, KY. The typical schedule is Monday-Friday, with overtime/weekends as needed.Â
ResponsibilitiesÂ
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy-duty machines or mechanical components according to requirements and OEM documentation.Â
- Inspect machines, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issuesÂ
- Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability and safe operationsÂ
- Correctly and efficiently troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely mannerÂ
- Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems including pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, gearboxes, and communication softwareÂ
- Clean and apply lubricants to machinery componentsÂ
- Replenish fluids and components of engines and machineryÂ
- Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g. repair of hydraulic systems, welding, etc.)Â
- Keep logs of work and report on issuesÂ
QualificationsÂ
Required QualificationsÂ
- Valid Driver's license requiredÂ
- Experience in repairing and maintaining heavy equipmentÂ
Preferred QualificationsÂ
- 5+ years of heavy construction equipment and repair experienceÂ
- Experience working on railway equipmentÂ
- 5+ years of hydraulics and electrical troubleshooting experienceÂ
- CDL Driver's license strongly preferredÂ
- Licensing/certification as a mechanicÂ
