Your role at Clorox:
We are seeking a passionate and strategic Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to champion environmental excellence and compliance across our manufacturing operation. As a member of the Site Leadership Team, this role will be responsible for leading environmental programs related to air, water, waste, permitting, and regulatory compliance while driving sustainable business practices and a culture of environmental responsibility. Under the guidance of Corporate EHS leadership, the EHS Manager will influence and promote a proactive, environmentally focused culture by implementing best-in-class compliance programs, reducing environmental risk, advancing sustainability initiatives, and ensuring the site operates in accordance with all applicable environmental regulations while supporting Zero Loss objectives.In this role, you will:
- Lead the site’s HSE strategy and drive a proactive, Zero Loss culture through continuous improvement and employee engagement.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development for the HSE team, Safety Committee, and plant leaders to strengthen compliance and risk awareness.
- Oversee environmental, health, and safety programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all federal, state, local, and company requirements.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action programs to prevent recurrence and reduce operational risk.
- Serve as the primary site contact for environmental and safety regulatory agencies, inspections, audits, and reporting activities.
- Drive environmental sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction, resource conservation, and Zero Waste to Landfill objectives.
- Develop, monitor, and report HSE metrics to measure performance, identify trends, and support business objectives.
- Conduct risk assessments and site audits, correcting unsafe conditions and behaviors while promoting accountability across the organization.
- Manage and continuously improve HSE management systems, processes, and training programs to build site capability.
- Partner with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure safe production practices and compliance across all plant activities.
- Support capital projects by integrating HSE requirements into project planning, design reviews, equipment installations, and startup activities.
- Deliver world-class HSE results through strong leadership, regulatory excellence, effective communication, and continuous risk reduction.
What we look for:
- 7+ years of progressive HSE/EHS leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with demonstrated expertise in environmental compliance, including air emissions, water systems, hazardous waste, permitting, and regulatory reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field preferred; Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) strongly preferred. Additional certifications such as Certified Waste Management Professional (CWMP) or Institute of Hazardous Materials Management (IHMM)
- Proven success leading complex incident investigations, conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implementing sustainable corrective actions that reduce risk and strengthen site compliance performance.
- Strong background driving environmental stewardship initiatives, sustainability programs, waste reduction efforts, and continuous improvement activities that support operational and business objectives.
- Experience partnering with operations and engineering teams to support capital projects, perform risk assessments, ensure regulatory compliance, and integrate HSE requirements into project execution.

Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.
