Health Information Representative, FT Rotating (58149)

Under general supervision ensures correct assignment of medical records numbers, retrieves medical records collects birth certificate information, sorts and files reports. Updates record deficiency information and maintains microfilm area.

Qualifications

WorkExperience:

• One year of experience inHealth Information Managementorhealthcare-related work experiencetoincludeHospital/clinic/physicians'medicalbilling/insuranceoffice.
• An associate’s degree in Health Information Management (HIM), Medical Billing and Coding or a related field can be substituted for work experience.

License/Registration/Certification:

• None

Education and Training:

• High School graduate or equivalent.

Skills:

• Basic knowledge of Health Information Systems practices, procedures and guidelines.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Knowledgeable of medical terminology.
• Knowledgeable of or ability to learn maintenance of Hospital medical records.
• Knowledgeable of or ability to learn multiple computer systems of Hospital medical records.
