Summary:
- Location: New York, New York
- Work Mode: Local
- Schedule: Full Time; 5X8 M-F 9AM-5PM
- Duration: 17 weeks, through 12/31/26
Responsibilities:
- Participate in hospital-wide continuous readiness activities to ensure ongoing compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and DOH requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for hospital teams in assessing compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with departments to implement standardized processes for accreditation and regulatory activities.
- Facilitate the development and monitor the completion of corrective action plans and related data analysis.
- Lead tracing activities, internal mock surveys, focused standards assessments, training, and education.
- Respond to requests from surveyors and guide operational leaders in documentation review.
- Synthesize complex information for operational and senior leaders, identifying areas of risk.
- Review and interpret hospital data to ensure standards are measured appropriately.
- Maintain current knowledge of external standards and regulations, serving as a subject matter expert.
- Design and deliver educational training to enhance organizational knowledge of accreditation and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and present areas of regulatory risk to the organization.
- Participate in hospital regulatory programs in various roles, including survey escort and tracing activities.
- Manage FSA teams, identifying areas of risk and collaborating on corrective action plans.
- Maintain a central repository of all hospital survey activity and provide reports to leadership.
- Participate in various hospital and Quality committees, work groups, or task forces as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare-related roles
- Quality Assurance experience is crucial
- Hospital healthcare experience is required
- Knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, and DOH requirements
- Experience with desktop computer applications and knowledge of database concepts
- Advanced skills with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Experience with managing and interpreting data
- Ability to manage multiple activities and meet timelines and deadlines
- Ability to work with various departments and levels of personnel
Preferred Skills:
- Master's degree
- 3 years of Project Management experience
- Ability to plan and lead projects, facilitate project scope, develop project plans, manage timelines, and provide direction and support to project teams
