About The Job:
- Head of Trade Support & Data to lead and oversee the end-to-end investment trade lifecycle and associated data management functions across Asset Management company.
- The role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant execution support, trade processing, reconciliation, performance measurement, risk analytics, post-trade controls, and data governance.
- The incumbent will provide leadership to a multi-disciplinary team comprising Traders, Trade Support Analysts, and Performance & Risk Analysts, while maintaining accountability for operational service delivery, exception management, stakeholder engagement, and continuous process enhancement.
- The role also serves as a key interface with internal stakeholders and Booking Center clients to facilitate seamless cross-border trading and reporting activities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end trade lifecycle across all asset classes, including trade execution support, confirmation, settlement, reconciliation, compliance monitoring, cash management coordination, and performance reporting.
- Lead, mentor, and manage Traders, Trade Support Analysts, and Performance & Risk Analysts, ensuring clear accountability, effective resource utilization, and operational excellence.
- Develop, implement, and enforce trade support policies, procedures, and controls in line with regulatory requirements, internal mandates, and audit expectations.
- Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), service-level agreements (SLAs), and operational metrics to drive efficiency, accuracy, and service quality.
- Act as the primary escalation point for trade exceptions, settlement issues, operational breaks, and compliance concerns impacting execution, reporting, or client servicing.
- Oversee securities lending and borrowing (SLB), margin management, collateral monitoring, and related operational activities across portfolios and asset classes.
- Lead digitization, automation, and workflow optimization initiatives to enhance operational scalability, efficiency, and control effectiveness.
- Manage relationships with Booking Center clients and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on trade execution processes, documentation standards, and cross-border operating models.
- Coordinate closely with Compliance, Fund Administration, Custody, Operations, and Technology teams to ensure effective management of trade support, controls, and exception handling processes.
- Maintain a strong understanding of market developments, industry trends, operating models, and regulatory requirements impacting investment operations and trade support functions.
- Promote continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and capability development within the team to strengthen execution quality, controls, analytics, and reporting.
- Drive a culture of innovation, automation, and process simplification to improve operational effectiveness and stakeholder experience.
- Partner with Investment Managers, Investment Analysts, Product teams, Business Control, Custody, Operations, and Technology functions to ensure seamless coordination across the trade lifecycle.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of operating procedures, control frameworks, escalation protocols, and system dependencies.
- Lead periodic governance reviews and process enhancement initiatives with internal stakeholders to strengthen operational efficiency, risk management, and reporting capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable internal policies and external regulatory requirements, including AML/CTF obligations, sanctions screening, trade reporting requirements, and investment mandate restrictions.
- Maintain a robust trade control environment through effective monitoring, issue management, and escalation frameworks.
- Support adherence to Three Lines of Defence framework, operational risk policies, and internal control requirements.
- Participate in audits, risk assessments, regulatory reviews, and inspections relating to trade operations, data governance, and control effectiveness.
- Complete all mandatory regulatory, compliance, and professional training requirements as prescribed by the Bank.
- Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality concerning trading activity, portfolio information, broker relationships, Booking Center clients, and related business-sensitive information.
- Undertake additional assignments, strategic initiatives, or responsibilities as required by senior management.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- CFA Charterholder or progress toward CFA qualification (Level II or above preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of experience within investment operations, trade support, middle-office, or asset management functions, including at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven experience overseeing multi-asset trade support operations, order management systems, reconciliation functions, and collateral/SLB processes.
- Strong exposure to regulatory frameworks, governance requirements, and audit environments, including MiFID II, QFC, QCB, UCITS, Cayman Islands, and related industry standards.
- Experience managing global operating models, cross-border trading activities, and stakeholder relationships within institutional asset management environments.
- Strong understanding of front-to-back trade lifecycle processes across equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, and derivative products.
- Experience managing multi-regional trade support teams, global custody arrangements, and foreign exchange settlement coordination.
- Expertise in Order Management Systems (OMS) and trade management platforms such as Bloomberg AIM, Aladdin, Charles River IMS, or equivalent solutions.
- Strong leadership capabilities in operational risk management, governance, KPI/SLA management, and issue resolution.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Strong focus on process improvement, automation, and data-driven operational excellence.
