Head of Commercial

We are searching for aHead of Commercial with an entrepreneurial mindset to join a VC-backed start-up developing financial, scalable liquidity solutions which combine Structured Finance, Risk Management and BCT-enabled infrastructure, tailored for iGaming Operators.

TheHead of Commercialwill speak with a CEO, CFO or institutional investor, understand their financial challenges, structure a commercially viable solution and lead the transaction through to completion, playing an active role in shaping the product rather than selling a finished product.

The successful candidate will combine strong financial acumen withcommercial creativity, and a proven ability to execute complex transactions.

Working directly with the CEO, you will have the opportunity to influence the Company's commercial strategy, product development and long-term growth.

Role & Responsibilities

• The Head of Commercial will be accountable for commercial development and execution

• Own the commercial pipeline, from identifying opportunities through to signed agreements

• Identify opportunities to improve product economics, capital efficiency and competitive positioning

• Contribute to the development of new financial products and commercial structures

• Structure liquidity facilities, collateral arrangements, pricing mechanisms and commercial terms

• Evaluate capital requirements, utilisation assumptions, risk-adjusted returns and transaction profitability

• Develop financial models and commercial proposals

• Utilise your network to establish rapport with decision-makers from iGaming platforms, operators, financial institutions and strategic partners

• Personally drive opportunities through to contractual close and a successful handover for implementation: you must be equally comfortable designing the transaction and closing it

• Help define go-to-market strategy and target customer segments

• Develop scalable commercial frameworks and pricing methodologies

• Evaluate transaction economics, profitability, capital efficiency and expected returns

• Build commercial forecasts, pipeline projections and revenue targets

• Proven ability to build a pipeline of prospects and transform to valuable clients

• Demonstrable experience negotiating and executing complex commercial transactions

• Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and persuasively

• Strong financial modelling, analytical and commercial evaluation capabilities

• Strong commercial judgement, negotiation skills and a results-oriented mindset

• Expertise with financial structuring, credit facilities, collateral arrangements and risk-adjusted pricing

• Relevant experiencefrom finance, corporate banking, private credit, specialty lending, treasury, financial services, structured or corporate finance, trade finance, factoring or similar

• Existing network of potential clients within the iGaming industry (platforms & operators)

• Financial expertise, commercial execution and entrepreneurial ability are of more importance than experience in any particular industry

About this role

• €80-120K + KPI-related bonus depending on risk appetite

• Based in Ta' Xbiex, Malta

• Office first with hybrid flexibility
