Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for aMaintenance Mechanicat ourCarrington, NDdurum milling and pasta production facility, where we produceDakota Growers pasta. 

Responsibilities: 

• Assist with preventative and predictive maintenance on process systemsincludingmill, production, packaging, utility, and other facility equipment 

• Partner with operations to troubleshoot issues on process systems,utilizing machine manuals and schematics 

• Assist withmaintaining utility operationsincludingboilers, compressors, vacuum pumps, watersupply and HVAC systems 

• Document work(PM checklists, work orders, permits, etc.) and maintain GMPs, safety and food safety standards 

• Partner with company leadership to proactivelyidentify and execute on continuous improvement opportunities in the areas of safety, food safety, quality, productivity, and sanitation 

Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or GED equivalent from and accredited institution and one of the following: 

• Two-year associates degree or higher in technical field (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, electro-mechanical,controls and automation, etc.) or equivalent 

• Military training and experience in a relevant Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in a mechanic, maintenance, electrical, electro-mechanical, controls and automation, or related role 

• Experience with basic carpentry, plumbing, welding, metal work, and fabrication 

• Able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Maintenance experience in a food manufacturing facility 

• Experience reading blueprints and schematics 

• Experience with MIG, TIG, and stick welding 

• Experience with power transmission components such as belt drives, chain drives, bearings, motors & gears 

• Experience with drill presses, lathes, Bridgeport-type mills 

• Experience with operation and maintenance of forklifts, scissor lifts, and articulated lifts  

Physical Requirements:  

Qualified candidates must be able toperform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation: 

• Crouch, stoop, kneel, reach above shoulders, bend, balance, climb, work on ladder, push, pull, grasp, feel, perform fine manipulation,operate foot pedals, lift/carry, sit,stand and walk for extended periods 

• Work in dusty, high heat/humidity, and cold environments, and confined spaces  

• Wear a respirator as needed 

• Make fine distinctions by sound 

• Communicate verbally and in writing, and distinguish objects or equipment visually 

Shift:1:30pm-10pm or 9pm-7:30am

Schedule:Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday

Starting Pay:$35.50/hr
