Guidewire Solutions Architect

Role Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture for Guidewire InsuranceSuite implementations.

• Translate P&C insurance business requirements into scalable Guidewire solutions.

• Design solutions across PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter, and related Guidewire components.

• Define Guidewire configuration, customization, integration, data and technical architecture.

• Design and review integrations between Guidewire and external carrier systems.

• Develop architecture diagrams, technical designs and architecture decision documentation.

• Provide technical direction to developers, technical leads and delivery teams.

• Review solution designs and implementation approaches for quality, scalability, performance and maintainability.

• Identify and resolve architectural risks and technical dependencies.

• Lead technical discussions with client stakeholders and Guidewire teams.

• Support estimation, solutioning and technical planning for Guidewire programs.

• Provide architectural guidance through implementation, testing, deployment and production support.

• Mentor Guidewire architects, technical leads and senior developers.

• Ensure solutions follow Guidewire best practices and remain maintainable through future upgrades.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software/technology experience.

• 6+ years of hands-on Guidewire InsuranceSuite production experience.

• Strong experience with one or more of PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter and BillingCenter.

• Experience architecting and delivering multiple Guidewire implementations.

• Strong understanding of P&C insurance processes and workflows.

• Strong experience with Guidewire configuration and customization.

• Strong integration architecture experience using REST APIs, web services and enterprise integration patterns.

• Experience with data architecture and data migration in Guidewire environments.

• Strong understanding of application architecture, scalability, performance, security and resiliency.

• Experience working with Agile development and delivery teams.

• Strong technical communication and client-facing skills.

• Ability to independently make and defend architecture decisions.

• Guidewire certification is preferred.

• Guidewire Cloud experience is preferred.

• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure or GCP is preferred.
