Job Title: Guidewire PolicyCenter Lead Developer (Local)
Location: Onsite, San Antonio, TX
Duration: 06 months with possible extension
Pay Range: $35.00 - $45.00/Hour

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Guidewire PolicyCenter Lead Developer with 8+ years of experience in Guidewire implementation| configuration| integration| and support.
The ideal candidate will lead development activities| provide technical guidance to the team| collaborate with business stakeholders| and deliver high-quality insurance solutions using Guidewire PolicyCenter.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead Guidewire PolicyCenter development and enhancement activities.
* Analyze business requirements and provide technical design solutions.
* Configure and customize PolicyCenter using Gosu| PCF| Data Model| Rules| Workflows| and Product Model.
* Design and develop integrations with internal and external systems using REST/SOAP web services| messaging| and batch processes.
* Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to Guidewire best practices.
* Support release planning| deployment activities| and production issue resolution.
* Collaborate with Business Analysts| Architects| QA teams| and stakeholders.
* Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership.
* Participate in estimation| sprint planning| and Agile ceremonies.
* Troubleshoot complex technical issues and recommend solutions.
Required Skills
Guidewire * 8+ years of Guidewire development experience.
* Strong experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter.
* Hands-on experience with:
* Gosu Programming
* PCF Configuration
* Rules Engine
* Product Model
* Data Model Extensions
* Batch Processes
* Workflows
* Underwriting Rules
* Rating Configuration
* Integration Framework
Technical Skills
* Java/J2EE fundamentals.
* REST and SOAP Web Services.
* XML| JSON| XSD.
* SQL and relational databases (Oracle/SQL Server).
* Git| Bitbucket| SVN| or similar version control tools.
* CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
* Experience with cloud environments is a plus.
Leadership Skills
* Ability to lead a development team.
* Conduct design reviews and code reviews.
* Coordinate with onsite/offshore teams.
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
* Guidewire PolicyCenter Certified Professional/Developer.
* Experience with InsuranceSuite upgrades and cloud implementations.
* Experience in Personal Lines or Commercial Lines Insurance.
* Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies."
Essential Skills:
- The primary skillset for Guidewire combines Java| the platforms proprietary Gosu programming language| and deep knowledge of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance.
- Professionals also specialize in either Configuration (building screens| rules| and business logic) or Integration (connecting core modules to external systems).
- A secondary skill set for Guidewire depends on your primary role (e.g.| developer vs. business analyst)| but almost always centers around API/cloud integrations| agile QA automation| and foundational P&C insurance knowledge to support seamless digital transformation.
