Guidewire BillingCenter Architect

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Guidewire BillingCenter Architect with strong expertise in BillingCenter, P&C Insurance, and Guidewire architecture. The candidate will be responsible for designing scalable billing solutions, providing technical leadership, and driving successful BillingCenter implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of Guidewire BillingCenter solutions.
• Translate business and billing requirements into scalable and maintainable BillingCenter solutions.
• Design and configure billing accounts, invoices, payments, payment plans, collections, delinquency, and financial transactions.
• Develop and customize Gosu-based BillingCenter components and configurations.
• Design and review integrations between BillingCenter and PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, payment gateways, financial systems, and third-party applications.
• Define technical architecture, integration patterns, data flows, and solution approaches for complex implementations.
• Provide technical leadership through design reviews, code reviews, estimation, troubleshooting, and technical guidance.
• Analyze and resolve complex BillingCenter issues across development, testing, and production environments.
• Ensure solutions follow Guidewire best practices, architecture standards, security requirements, and performance guidelines.
• Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, QA teams, developers, architects, and client stakeholders.
• Mentor development teams and drive technical quality throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Guidewire BillingCenter.
• Expertise in BillingCenter configuration, Gosu, data model, workflows, and billing processes.
• Strong understanding of billing accounts, invoices, payments, payment plans, delinquency, collections, and financial transactions.
• Experience with BillingCenter integrations, APIs, web services, and external payment/financial systems.
• Strong understanding of P&C Insurance and Guidewire InsuranceSuite architecture.
• Experience with Guidewire Cloud is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and solution-design capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Guidewire ACE Certification is highly preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working as a BillingCenter Architect / Technical Lead on multiple end-to-end implementations.
• Experience with BillingCenter Cloud implementations and modernization initiatives.
• Strong experience integrating BillingCenter with PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, payment gateways, and enterprise financial systems.
• Ability to lead technical discussions, mentor developers, and work directly with clients.
