Job Title: GTC Manager (Graphic Technical Center Manager)

TheGTC Manager (Graphic Technical Center Manager) is responsible for managing theFlint Group Customer Graphic Technical Center operations, ensuring efficient technical support, ink management, and production support for customer printing operations.
This role focuses oncolor matching, ink formulation, press troubleshooting, inventory management, and team coordination while ensuring compliance withsafety standards, lean manufacturing practices, and quality control procedures.
The GTC Manager works closely withcustomer press teams, Flint Group technical service representatives, and internal production teams to ensure smooth operations and optimal product performance.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
  • Manage theGraphic Technical Center (GTC) operations supporting customer press schedules.
  • EnsureInk-to-Press operations are maintained efficiently and meet production demands.
  • Coordinatework assignments and schedules for GTC personnel.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
  • Providetechnical support for customer press and ink-related issues.
  • Troubleshootink performance issues, color inconsistencies, and printing defects.
  • Document and communicate technical problems toFlint Group Technical Service Representatives.
Color Matching & Ink Formulation
  • Performcolor matching and formulation management to meet customer color standards.
  • Maintain and updatecustomer formulation files and color databases.
  • Ensure compliance withcustomer quality control specifications.
Inventory & Materials Management
  • Maintain properink and raw material inventory levels aligned with customer press schedules.
  • Support Flint GroupDays on Hand (DOH) inventory targets.
  • Develop plans tomanage press returns and obsolete materials.
Process Improvement & Documentation
  • MaintainStandard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for:
    • Ink weighing
    • Dispensing
    • Blending processes
  • Track and maintainprocess improvement initiatives through action registers.
  • Document:
    • Ink adjustments at press
    • Press downtime
    • Root cause analysis
    • Corrective actions
Team Leadership
  • Coordinate schedules and assignments forGraphic Technicians and GTC personnel.
  • Train, mentor, and developInk Technicians and technical staff.
  • Maintainperformance records for technicians.
  • ApproveADP timecards and provide input forpromotions and compensation adjustments.
Safety & Compliance
  • Maintain azero-workplace injury environment.
  • ImplementLean Manufacturing and 5S practices.
  • Ensure compliance withFlint Group safety standards and PPE requirements.
  • Participate inmonthly safety training programs.
Required Qualifications
Education
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Minimum Requirement)
Experience
  • 2–5+ years of experience in manufacturing, printing, or technical production environments
  • Experience managingink rooms, printing operations, or technical production teams
  • Experience withflexographic or packaging printing environments preferred
Technical Skills
  • Experience with:
    • Color matching and ink formulation
    • Ink blending, weighing, and dispensing processes
    • Press troubleshooting and technical support
    • Quality control and process documentation
Professional Skills
  • Strongteam coordination and scheduling abilities
  • Excellenttechnical communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working withcross-functional teams and technical service representatives
  • Ability to maintainaccurate production and QC records
Preferred Skills
  • Experience inflexographic printing or packaging manufacturing
  • Knowledge ofLean Manufacturing and 5S practices
  • Experience withink room management systems
  • Experience supportingcustomer press operations
Travel Requirement:Occasional travel may be required.
