Location:Bryson City, NC  

Compensation:$12-14 per hour + Tips

Job Summary: Responsible for the duties of the Depot Polar Café during Polar train excursions including but not limited to food prep, customer service, cash handling, inventory control, merchandise, supply restocking, and facility upkeep.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Check with MOD for daily numbers and objectives
• Preparing food forDepot Polar Café
• Provide customer service, information about the posted menu, have knowledge of food ingredients, providing guests with directions
• Cash handling including accurate count of start-up and ending monies, accurate change counting, and accurate sales transactions.
• Ensure that the service is at all times performed in a professional manner and to the style as specified by Food & Beverage Management.
• Adhere to company service standards, procedures and policies. 
• Maintain compliance with health department regulations. 
• Maintain sanitary and safe food handling procedures.
• Assist with receiving, storage and proper handling of inventories. 
• Assist with Food and Beverage in any other area or task. 
• Be in complete uniform
• Other duties as requested by GSMR Management

Work Environment:

• Cash register (Square system)

• Kitchen equipment: including but not limited to oven, steam tables, cutlery and air fryer
• Ability to work in various weather conditions, including snow, rain, and extreme temperatures.
• Flexibility with assigned work schedule(s)

Qualifications

Education, Skill and Work Experience Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license, preferred.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• Ability be on your feet for extended periods of time.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs
