Group Chief Accountant

Position Overview

We are looking for aGroup Chief Accountant, who will play a key role in overseeing the full spectrum of accounting/tax operations ensuring compliance, leading audits and providing strategic financial insights to senior management.

• Lead day-to-day accounting and tax operations across all Group companies, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP)
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including the consolidation of financial statements
• Ensure compliance with applicable IFRS, local GAAP and myDATA requirements.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities and regulatory bodies.
• Oversee warehouse operations and ensure effective inventory management and control.
• Follow up affiliate companies abroad
• Ownership of Group Transfer Pricing file, ensuring proper coordination and compliance with applicable requirements
• Mentor, develop and support accounting team members, fostering professional growth and operational excellence
• Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic planning and business decision-making

• 10+ years of experience in accounting, taxation and finance, including experience in a Chief Accountant or similar senior role
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. CPA or equivalent professional qualification is considered an asset
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, applicable GAAP and tax regulations
• Good knowledge of MS Dynamics NAV
• Excellent leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail, integrity and a high level of professionalism
