Job Overview
The Associate Art Director is a key creative resource for the Brand Design & Creative Services team, responsible for the day-to-day implementation and execution of visual concepts, assets, and graphic standards for physical and digital channels. Focusing on digital platforms such as DCUI, DC Community, DC.com, social media, and print production, this role collaborates with Marketing, Digital, and Franchise Development teams to produce engaging content that drives revenue and brand engagement.
Job Specifications
•Key Responsibilities:
- Lead creative efforts to update DC channels with fresh imagery while maintaining a consistent visual language.
- Collaborate across teams to create fan journey assets and maximize strengths across digital, print, and comic spaces.
- Propose new creative ideas to the VP of Brand Design & Creative Services and enforce DC Brand standards.
- Develop design comps for social media initiatives, enhancements, and maintenance projects.
- Design multimedia effects, titles for interactive video content, motion graphics, and presentation materials.
- Organize, catalog, and maintain graphic assets, media elements, and style guides.
- Manage relationships with internal teams, cross-divisional partners, and external vendors.
- Adobe CC Expertise: 5+ years of strong experience in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
- Creative Design Ability: 5+ years of experience with a required portfolio demonstrating digital and print capabilities.
- Publishing & Print Production: 5+ years of experience working on comics, books, print ads, marketing assets, or ad campaign assets.
- Communication: 5+ years of experience working cross-functionally to align on creative requirements and deadlines.
- Portfolio Requirement: Must provide a strong portfolio showcasing design skills, creative problem-solving, and asset development (link must be included on cover page and resume).
- Extensive experience with InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and the Adobe CC suite.
- Experience with motion graphics software (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Apple Motion, Final Cut Pro).
- Experience with Content Management Systems (Monday.com knowledge is ideal).
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Office tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, media communications, or equivalent work experience preferred.
