Grant Manager

Cherry Bekaert Recruiting is seeking an experiencedGrants Manager to lead and support grant operations for a growing organization in Washington, DC. This highly visible role will oversee grant management activities, ensure compliance with grant requirements, evaluate existing processes and workflows, and help provide leadership to the grants team.

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience acrossgrants and financial management, strong knowledge of grant compliance, and the ability to improve processes while effectively managing day-to-day grant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the organization'sgrant management and grant operations
• Oversee grant administration throughout the grant lifecycle
• Monitor grants to ensure compliance with applicablegrant requirements, policies, and reporting obligations
• Partner with accounting and finance teams on thefinancial management of grants
• Review grant activity and supporting financial information for accuracy and compliance
• Evaluate existinggrant workflows, processes, and internal controls, identifying opportunities for improvement
• Help establish and maintain efficient processes for grant tracking, documentation, reporting, and compliance
• Assist with resolving grant-related financial and operational issues
• Support reporting and audit-related requests involving grants
• Help provide day-to-dayleadership and guidance to the grants team
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure grant requirements and deadlines are appropriately managed
• Perform additional grants-related projects and responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

• 8+ years of grants and financial management experience required
• Strong experience managing grant operations, compliance, and financial requirements
• Demonstrated understanding of the financial and accounting components of grant management
• Experience evaluating and improvinggrant processes and workflows
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple grants, priorities, and deadlines
• Experience providing leadership or guidance within a grants team
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner across finance, accounting, programs, and other departments
• NetSuite experience a plus
