TheLead Data Governance Architectis responsible for defining and driving the enterprise Data Governance architecture and strategy. This role partners with business, technology, and functional leaders to deliver enterprise-scale standards, policies, processes, and operating models for effective data management across Danaher.  

This position reports to theSenior Director, Data Engineeringand is part of theEnterprise Data Platformorganization.

This is a Danaher Corporate role, hosted by our Cytiva operating company in Kraków, and will be an on-site role (Kraków) or remote (Poland).

In this role, you will have the opportunity to: 

• Design governance capabilities covering Data Quality, Metadata Management, Data Cataloguing, Data Lineage, Master Data Management, Data Classification, and Data Privacy. 

• Define and maintain data ownership, stewardship, accountability, and decision-making models across the organization. 

• Develop and maintain the target-state Data Governance and Data Management architecture, ensuring alignment with Enterprise Architecture. 

• Define standards for data domains, critical data elements, business glossaries, data models, data products, and data flows. 

• Ensure that Data Governance requirements are embedded into data platforms, applications, analytics solutions, and transformation initiatives. 

The essential requirements of the job include:

• 7+ years of experience in Data Management, Data Architecture, Data Governance, or a related field.

• Strong understanding of Data Architecture and Data Management principles. 

• Experience defining Data Governance policies, standards, controls, and procedures. 

• Experience with one or more major cloud ecosystems, such as Azure, AWS, or Snowflake. 

• Hands-on knowledge of: Data Governance, Data Lineage, Data Privacy and Data Security, Data Ownership and Stewardship. 

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Ability to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally as required.  

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: 

• Knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance frameworks, depending on industry, such as GDPR or SOX. 

• Experience with Data Governance / Metadata platforms such as Collibra, Microsoft Purview, Informatica, Alation, Atlan. 

• Life sciences, diagnostics, biotechnology, healthcare, or regulated industries.
