Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Ownend-to-end architecture across mobile (iOS/Android), backend microservices, and integration layers

• Translate product requirements intoscalable, secure, and high-performance solutions

• Define and enforceAPI standards, integration patterns, and data flows

• Drivenon-functional requirements: scalability, resiliency, performance, observability, and security

• Leadarchitecture and design reviews, actively challenging weak or incomplete solutions

• Ensure system readiness forhigh-traffic events (promos, campaigns, peak loads)

• Design forfailure by default (timeouts, retries, circuit breakers, fallbacks)

• Collaborate with product, UX, engineering, and external partners to align solutions

• Identify and mitigatetechnical risks early, before they impact delivery

• Guide teams in adoptingmodern architecture patterns (microservices, event-driven, cloud-native)

Hands-on Architecture Validation (Non-Negotiable)

• Translate architecture intoworking code, prototypes, or technical spikes

• Buildreference implementations to validate: API contracts, Integration patterns (REST, async messaging),Performance assumptions,Failure handling (retry, timeout, fallback strategies)

• Capable of implementing aminimal but production-realistic service or API

• Demonstrates how architecture decisions impactactual code structure and runtime behavior

• Expected to spend10–20% of time on hands-on validation, prototyping, or deep technical reviews

Core Qualifications 

• Proven experience in solutions architecture for high-scale digital platforms (telco, fintech, e-commerce, or similar)

• Deep expertise in: Microservices and API-first design, System integration (REST, event-driven, messaging systems such as Kafka or Pub/Sub), Cloud platforms (GCP preferred; AWS acceptable),Familiarity or hands-on experience withNode.js and MongoDB

• Demonstrated ability to design for: High concurrency and traffic spikes, Resiliency and fault tolerance, Performance optimization at scale

• Hands-on experience with: Mobile architectures (native + hybrid such as KMP, WebView, React Native),Backend systems and integration layers

• Strong understanding ofsecurity principles (authentication, authorization, secure APIs)

• Proven ability toback architecture decisions with working code, prototypes, or technical spikes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience intelco or subscription-based platforms (e.g., data wallets, billing, entitlements)

• Familiarity withreal-time streaming platforms (Kafka, Pub/Sub)

• Experience withfeature flags, personalization, or segmentation systems

• Knowledge ofobservability practices (logging, metrics, tracing)

• Experience withCI/CD pipelines and release strategies (blue-green, canary deployments)

HIRING REQUIREMENTS:

Work Experience

• Minimum 5–8years of experience in software engineering, system design, or solutions architecture

• At least3 years in a Solutions Architect or equivalent role for high-scale digital platforms

• Proven experience designing and deliveringend-to-end systems across mobile, backend, and integrations

• Experience in industries such astelco, fintech, e-commerce, or other high-traffic digital platforms

• Hands-on involvement inproduction systems handling high concurrency and traffic spikes

Level of Knowledge

• Strong expertise in:

  • Microservices architecture and API-first design

  • System integration patterns (REST, event-driven, messaging systems)

  • Cloud platforms (GCP preferred; AWS also acceptable)

• Solid understanding of:

  • Scalability, resiliency, and performance engineering

  • Security principles (authentication, authorization, secure APIs)

  • Observability (logging, monitoring, tracing)

• Hands-on familiarity with:

  • Mobile app architectures (native and hybrid: KMP, WebView, React Native)

  • Backend technologies and integration layers

• Experience or familiarity withNode.js and MongoDB is a plus

• Bachelor’s degree inComputer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
