Global Logistics Manager
Location: Buffalo, NY
Work Model: Onsite
Position Type: Full-Time
The Global Logistics Manager will lead global transportation and logistics operations supporting commercial aerospace programs. This role is responsible for ensuring cost-effective, compliant, and timely movement of materials across international supply chains, while driving efficiency, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and executeglobal logistics strategy
- ManageTransportation Management Systems (TMS)
- Overseeair freight, ocean freight, and multimodal logistics operations
- Ensure compliance withinternational trade regulations
- Manage supplier and logistics service providers (3PL/4PL)
- Drive cost optimization andlean freight strategies
- Monitor and improve supply chain performance through KPIs
- ManageIncoterms and contractual logistics agreements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (procurement, manufacturing, quality)
- Oversee documentation, audits, and compliance processes
- Support risk management and supply chain resilience initiatives
- Travel approximately20β30%
Must-Have Requirements
- Bachelor's degree inSupply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of logistics or transportation experience in aerospace or complex manufacturing
- Strong experience withTransportation Management Systems (TMS)
- Hands-on experience ininternational shipping (air & ocean freight)
- Strong understanding ofglobal trade compliance
- Experience working inmultinational supply chains
Required Skills
- Expertise inmultimodal logistics operations
- Strong knowledge ofglobal trade compliance & regulations
- Experience withTMS implementation and optimization
- Knowledge of3PL / 4PL logistics strategies and VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory)
- Experience inlean freight cost rationalization
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Aerospace industry experience (commercial aircraft preferred)
- Experience handlingAOG (Aircraft on Ground) / time-critical logistics
- Knowledge ofIncoterms 2020
- Experience withSAP systems
- Exposure to global supplier networks
