Job Title: Engineering/Technical - GIS Mapper
Location :Lawrence Township, New Jersey -- 08648
Duration: 24 Month

Introduction

We are seeking a skilled GIS Mapper to join our team for a 24-month duration. This role is perfect for individuals with GIS experience, including recent college graduates, who are eager to work in a dynamic environment. The position involves both onsite and hybrid work arrangements, depending on training and work assignments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 1-2 years of GIS experience (school or work-related)
• Ability to acquire a thorough working knowledge of the company’s business applications, material, equipment, and apparatus used in the work
• Familiarity with the Utilities’ Transmission and Distribution systems
• Proficiency in MS Office and other Windows applications
• Valid driver’s license to operate motor vehicles in the state of New Jersey
• Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with utility systems and GIS applications
• Strong analytical skills for data assembly and report preparation
• Experience in manual or computer-aided drafting

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Maintain the GIS connected model with information from various sources
• Perform analysis or queries to assemble data and prepare reports, charts, and maps
• Produce standard prints and ad-hoc plots for field requests
• Resolve conflicting data, mapping, connectivity, and land issues
• Perform GIS work related to major projects such as facility relocations and load rearrangement
• Operate automated office equipment and file records and data
• Assist other employees in plant work, in the field, or in the office
