Gift Shop Associate

Byodo- In Temple is looking for aGift Shop Associate to join our team in Kaneohe, HI where we offer a passionate and purpose-filled work environment. TheGift Shop Associate is responsible for customer service, cashiering, packing/bagging merchandise, opening and/or closing the register/store, receiving, pricing, merchandising, inventory, as well as maintaining organization & cleanliness of the gift shop.

Responsibilities

• Greet & assist customers ensuring they have a positive experience
• Maintain the flow of customers waiting in line to check out
• Maintain store cleanliness & organization, restock shelves & merchandising to ensure proper product display
• Merchandising & inventory, conduct stock checks, receive & process shipments
• Provide product & cultural knowledge
• Accurately & efficiently operate Point of Sales system to handle sales transactions & returns
• Support & collaborate as a team member

Qualifications

• Ability to work within a team
• Reliable & punctual with a strong work ethic
• Highly self-motivated
• Positive, friendly and respectful attitude
• Willingness to learn, able to take direction
• Basic math skills
• Retail & customer service experience preferred (not required)
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods & lift up to 40lbs
• Weekend availability and flexible scheduling

Compensation Range of$16 - $17.50/hr.
