Position Details

We are seeking a resourceful and systems-oriented Business Operations Specialist to join our Operations team (supply side of marketplace). 

This role will be cross-trained on a variety of Operational areas, and is therefore great for someone who is interested in learning Operations at a mission-driven, early-stage startup.

What You’ll Do

• Own and Execute Key Operational Processes
  
  
  • Coordinate with the Community Operations Lead to manage outreach to instructors to ensure Day 1 readiness
  • Support our Business Operations Lead with day-to-day staffing requests and instructor matching
  • Troubleshoot instructor concerns within our ticketing support system
  • Track and document quality concerns, statuses, confirmations, and class-level notes
  • Support with new instructor onboarding and engagement
  • At peak seasonal times, support our Talent Acquisition team to review candidate qualifications and fulfill time-sensitive requests
    
    
• Build, Automate, and Track Operational Processes
  
  
  • Document step-by-step operational processes with clarity and structure 
  • Help implement AI-based automations and agents into routine workflows, in partnership with Leadership and Product team 
  • Automate communication workflows (email/SMS) and response tracking improvements
  • Partner with leadership to develop reports and dashboards for tracking operational KPIs
    
    
• Learn, Grow, and Contribute to Scaling
  
  
  • Contribute ideas and solutions for automating and streamlining other areas beyond talent matching
  • Help shape documentation and playbooks for new workflows, automations, and AI-integrated systems
  • Support Operations Leadership in special projects as they come up

 Who You Are

• 1–3 years of experience in operations, project management, or process-oriented roles in tech-first organizations
• Interest in early-stage startups and comfort in that type of environment
• You embrace technology in all you do
• You are organized and detail-oriented - there are a lot of details to keep track of here! 
• You can keep calm under pressure 
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Eager to learn about EdTech or Marketplace Tech organizations
• Must be able to work in office (Bryant Park area) 3 days per week

Compensation Package

• This position has a base comp of $63,000 - $70,000
• Health, dental, and vision healthcare offerings, including a HDHP with HSA
