Geospatial Analyst

Company: Colorado Network Staffing (CNS)
Position Type: Full-Time | On-Site
Salary Range: $80,000–$85,000 annually
Anticipated Start Date: Ideally within approximately 30 days of task order award
Period of Performance: Anticipated September 28, 2026 – September 27, 2027, with two potential option periods through September 2029
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8-hour workday between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. | Federal holidays excluded
Travel: Minimal, anticipated at 0–10%; not expected to exceed 20%

Position Summary

Colorado Network Staffing (CNS) is seeking an experiencedGeospatial Analyst to support geospatial analysis, GIS integration, data management, and geospatial decision-support activities acrossArmy Materiel Command (AMC) andOrganic Industrial Base (OIB) installations.

The Geospatial Analyst will develop maps, dashboards, spatial analyses, geodatabases, and other geospatial products supporting installation planning, infrastructure management, real property, and facility investment decisions. The position will also supportInstallation Geospatial Information & Services (IGI&S), Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE), GIS governance, and geospatial data-quality initiatives.

The position requires strong experience with theEsri ArcGIS platform and the ability to integrate geospatial information with planning, real property, infrastructure, and facility investment data to support enterprise-level decision-making.


Essential Functions

GIS & Geospatial Analysis

  • Perform geospatial analysis supporting installation planning, infrastructure management, and investment decisions.
  • Develop maps, spatial analyses, dashboards, and other geospatial decision-support products.
  • Analyze spatial relationships and trends to support facility and infrastructure planning.
  • Create clear geospatial visualizations for technical and executive audiences.
  • Support enterprise geospatial analysis across AMC and OIB installations.

GIS Data Management & Integration

  • Develop, maintain, and manage geospatial databases and associated datasets.
  • Integrate geospatial information with planning, real property, facility, infrastructure, and investment data.
  • Support integration between GIS and systems such asRPLANS, ASIP, HQIIS, ISR, and related platforms.
  • Validate geospatial information for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and usability.
  • Support data migration, transformation, standardization, and integration activities as required.
  • Maintain organized geospatial data and supporting documentation.

IGI&S, SDSFIE & GIS Governance

  • SupportInstallation Geospatial Information & Services (IGI&S) activities.
  • Support implementation and maintenance ofSDSFIE requirements and applicable geospatial data standards.
  • Assist with GIS governance and enterprise geospatial data-management initiatives.
  • Support geospatial data-quality and quality-control processes.
  • Assist with development and implementation of GIS standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Support applicable Army geospatial programs and modernization initiatives.

Maps, Dashboards & Decision-Support Products

  • Develop maps, dashboards, visualizations, and analytical products supporting infrastructure and investment decisions.
  • UtilizeEsri ArcGIS products and ArcGIS Online to develop and maintain geospatial applications and products.
  • Support development of dashboards and other interactive decision-support tools.
  • Translate complex geospatial information into understandable visual products for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Support integration of GIS information withPower BI or similar analytical and visualization platforms when applicable.

Stakeholder & Installation Support

  • Coordinate with installation personnel, planners, facility professionals, real property personnel, and Army stakeholders.
  • Support GIS implementation and modernization initiatives.
  • Gather geospatial requirements and translate stakeholder needs into analytical products.
  • Participate in meetings, working groups, and planning activities involving geospatial information.
  • Provide technical GIS support and guidance to project stakeholders.
  • Support multidisciplinary planning and infrastructure initiatives requiring geospatial analysis.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree inGeography, GIS, Geospatial Science, Planning, Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum offive (5) years of GIS and geospatial analysis experience.
  • Experience withEsri ArcGIS products and ArcGIS Online.
  • Experience developing dashboards and geospatial visualizations.
  • Experience creating and maintaining maps, spatial analyses, geodatabases, and geospatial datasets.
  • Demonstrated experience with geospatial data management and quality control.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate geospatial information effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • GISP certification.
  • Experience supportingIGI&S, SDSFIE, AIGP, or other Army geospatial programs.
  • Experience integrating GIS withRPLANS, ASIP, HQIIS, ISR, Power BI, or similar systems.
  • Experience supporting military planning, installation planning, real property, infrastructure, or facility programs.
  • Experience developing GIS dashboards or executive decision-support products.
  • Experience supporting Army, Department of Defense, or other federal geospatial programs.

Work Environment

This is anin-person, on-site position supporting a federal/Army environment. Work will primarily be performed in a professional office environment and will involve regular coordination with Army personnel, installation planners, GIS professionals, real property personnel, infrastructure specialists, and other project stakeholders.

Situational telework may be authorized duringextreme weather events, installation closures, or similar circumstances. Regular remote or hybrid work is not anticipated.


Physical Demands

This position primarily involves office and computer-based GIS work, including extended periods of sitting or standing and operating computer equipment.

Periodic walking or site visits may be required to support installation planning, geospatial data validation, meetings, or project activities.


Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. The anticipated schedule isMonday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. Employees will work an8-hour workday within the 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. operating window, based on project requirements.


Travel

Minimal travel is anticipated, generally0–10%. Travel is not currently anticipated to exceed20%.


Work Authorization / Security Clearance

  • Active Secret security clearance is preferred.
  • Candidates who possessed a Secret clearance within the previous two years are strongly preferred.
  • At minimum, candidates must be eligible and able to obtain the requiredSecret security clearance.
  • Must meet applicable federal contract and installation access requirements.
