General Manager,Bar Pendry

 

Summary

The General Manager will be responsible for managing the food and beverage operations of Bar Pendry. The General Manager will drive exceptional customer service while optimizing financial results and positive associate culture.

   

Essential Functions

Job duties include; although are not limited to

  • Driving product and service culture by circulating on the bar floor, continually checking with guests and service staff to ensure satisfaction
  • Working with Food & Beverage leaders and Sales & Marketing team to drive revenues through thoughtful, forward thinking beverage programs  
  • Maintaining a luxury environment at all times through processes and close oversight of music, programming and capacity. 
  • Aiding in the training, supervising, scheduling, evaluating, and directing of all restaurant Associates
  • Handling guest concerns in a prompt and professional manner
  • Recognizing luxury resort guests and Elwood members in a welcoming/efficient manner.
  • Close communication and relationship with Elwood Club to ensure resort guests are properly relocated to the club as needed.
  • Monitoring and supervising the set up and maintenance of the bar to ensure that it is meeting or exceeding standards
  • Organizing, building, and maintaining a professional work environment
  • Recruiting and training all bar Associates, ensuring staff continually improves their performance
  • Managing overall profit and loss statements
  • Monitoring overtime and ensure proper clock in/clock out procedures are followed
  • Organizing and conducting pre-shift departmental meetings and communicating pertinent information to Associates
  • Ensuring par stock levels are maintained by calculating inventory, ordering, and retrieving supplies and stocking shelves
  • Completing reports on production, filling out necessary requisitions and controlling distribution of necessary supplies
  • Ensuring the department abides by all safety and sanitation policies
  • Creating an overall welcoming and positive work culture for associates 
  • Support, participate and drive all learning and associate recognition programs
  •

Must Haves    

  • Prior Food and Beverage Management experience required 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills   
  • Ability to prepare and analyze data, figures, and transcriptions prepared on and generated by computer   
  • Microsoft Office products; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook  
  • Embrace Technology – continually learn, adapt and master to new operating system 
  • Knowledge of food service techniques and cost controls such as labor, productivity, food cost and other expenses  
  • Knowledge of food and alcoholic beverages 
  • Knowledge of hotel food and beverage operations  
  • Budgetary analysis capabilities 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, late evenings and holidays   
  • High volume bar experience.
  • Luxury hotel experience, a plus

Physical Requirements    

  • Grasping, holding, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending over   
  • Ability to stand and exercise mobility for extended periods of time during your scheduled shift   
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and for extended periods during the shift   
  • Ability to push and pull food serving equipment and carts weighing up to 200 pounds on a semi - regular basis

The pay scale for General Manager, Bar Pendry is $100-110k annually.

The pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position.
