Job Description

We are looking for a Junior GenAI Support Engineer to join Global DevOps Support at PDC, supporting the operational backbone behind the GenAI tools, agents, and connectors used across R&D. Working alongside senior team members, this role helps run the dedicated AI tools support function, assists with the service account and secrets lifecycle for AI connectors, and helps operate the internal AI hosting platform (PCA) — a great entry point into AIOps for someone who already thinks and works in an AI-tooling mindset and wants to build deep DevOps/infrastructure skills around it.

What's in it for you?

This is a chance to start your career at the center of PDC's AI transformation without needing to be a model builder. You'll learn to operate the infrastructure that every GenAI tool, agent, and connector at PDC depends on, working directly with senior engineers, AI-Infra, GIS, and R&D stakeholders to close real, currently unowned gaps. You'll build hands-on skills in an emerging space — AI connector/MCP operations, agentic tooling, and internal AI platform hosting — growing your DevOps/infrastructure foundation while applying AI tools you already use day to day.

Our Group:

Global DevOps Support is the team responsible for keeping PDC's R&D infrastructure — on-prem and cloud — reliable, secure, and supportable. As part of the broader AIOps effort to define clear roles and responsibilities across PDC's GenAI initiatives, the group has taken ownership of the operational layer of the AIOps platform: the AI tools support function, service account and secrets management for AI connectors, and the PCA hosting platform. You'll work closely with senior team members, AI-Infra, GIS, and R&D teams across PDC's Israel and Bangalore sites, with mentorship built into the role.

What you'll be doing:

•Support AI Tools Support Operations:Help staff and operate the dedicated support channel for GenAI tools, agents, and connectors — handling first-line triage against defined SLAs, maintaining the known-issue tracker, escalating to senior engineers or R&D when needed, and helping keep FAQs and runbooks up to date.

•Assist with Service Accounts & Secrets:Execute day-to-day provisioning, rotation, and audit tasks for service accounts and API keys used by AI connectors, agents, and utilities, following the established least-privilege and rotation policy under senior guidance.

•Help Operate the PCA Hosting Platform:Carry out routine access requests (firewall/URL approvals, non-VDI upload permissions) and auto-cleanup tasks on PDC's internal AI app hosting store, with senior support for cost tagging/chargeback and connector enablement work.

•Support CI/CD & Indexing Pipelines:Help keep the CI/CD and indexing pipelines that support AI tooling running — including embed/index pipelines (e.g., ChunkHound) and per-agent/app observability (invocations, latency, errors, token spend).

•Apply Standards & Governance:Follow the Utility Deployment Standards (4-Tier Supportable Funnel) and agent runbooks/BKMs so new AI tools and agents are onboarded consistently, and operate under the Cross-Org R&R Charter once finalized.

•Contribute to Adoption Health Reporting:Help compile regular reporting on ticket volume, resolution rate, and support-path coverage, making AI tooling adoption and reliability visible to stakeholders.

What Should You Have?

•A genuine AI mindset: working understanding of core GenAI concepts (what an LLM, prompt, agent, and connector/MCP actually are) and daily hands-on comfort using AI tools (Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) as a user.

•Basic infrastructure fundamentals as a must: Linux basics (plus basic Windows administration), scripting basics (Python/Bash), and basic cloud/networking concepts.

•Working familiarity with CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar) — has used these tools, not necessarily built pipelines from scratch.

•Familiarity with prompt engineering, RAG, or AI agent design concepts.

•Hands-on experience with any enterprise GenAI platform (Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, Claude/Anthropic, Vertex AI, or similar).

•Working familiarity with containers (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm) — conceptual understanding and basic hands-on use.

•Basic understanding of cloud IAM and networking concepts (roles, access requests, firewall approvals) — independent configuration is not expected; you'll work under senior guidance.

•Understanding of secrets/key management concepts (what a vault, rotation policy, and access audit are for) — hands-on ownership is not expected; you'll execute established workflows under supervision.

•Ability to follow and execute defined service account/API key provisioning steps accurately and securely.

•Basic exposure to monitoring/observability and centralized logging tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Dynatrace, or equivalent) — has read dashboards, not necessarily built them.

•Comfort working within a ticketing/ITSM system, handling first-line triage and escalation per a defined SLA.

•Strong communication skills, with the ability to help write clear runbooks, BKMs, and FAQs for both technical and non-technical users.

•Comfort working in Agile/Scrum teams.

•Fast learner, comfortable asking questions and escalating — this role grows quickly from execution into ownership.

•1–3 years of DevOps, IT, or infrastructure support experience (including internship/junior roles).

What Gives You an Advantage?

•Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible).

•Exposure to artifact and container registry tools (e.g., JFrog Artifactory).

•Scripting exposure to Groovy, in addition to Python/Bash.

•Hands-on experience with secrets/key management tooling (Azure Key Vault, HashiCorp Vault, or equivalent).

•Experience designing or operating service account/API key provisioning workflows end to end.

•Hands-on cloud IAM/networking configuration experience (Azure/AWS: service principals, roles, network egress, firewall/access configuration).

•Exposure to AI governance/compliance practices (audit logging policy, data classification, GDPR/IP review processes).

•Experience operating an internal developer platform, app store, or similar internal hosting platform (PaaS).

•Experience with dedicated AIOps or incident-automation tooling (Moogsoft, BigPanda, ServiceNow ITOM, or similar).

•Cloud or Kubernetes certifications (AWS, Azure, CKA).

•Prior experience in the semiconductor or broader technology industry.
