Role Overview
We are looking for aLead DevOps & Cloud Engineer with deep expertise incloud-native architectures, platform engineering, and SRE practices to design and operate mission-critical systems in ahighly regulated (Banking/FinTech) environment.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong ownership ofmulti-region infrastructure, API platforms, automation-first operations, and resilience engineering, with a focus onsecurity, compliance, and high availability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cloud & Platform Engineering
- Architect and managemulti-region deployments onAWS and GCP
- Design highly available, fault-tolerant systems withRTO/RPO objectives
- Build and maintainKubernetes platforms (GKE/EKS) for microservices
- Implementcloud-native patterns (autoscaling, distributed systems, CDN)
2. DevOps & Infrastructure Automation
- ImplementInfrastructure as Code (IaC) usingTerraform
- Build CI/CD pipelines usingGitHub Actions / Jenkins / GitLab CI
- DriveGitOps practices and environment standardization
- Automate patching, provisioning, and operational workflows
3. API Gateway & Integration Platforms
- Design and manageAPI Gateway platforms using
- Kong API Gateway
- MuleSoft
- Configure routing, security policies, rate limiting, and upstream services
- Work withreverse proxies (Nginx) and API lifecycle management
4. Reliability Engineering & Incident Management
- Define and implementSLO, SLI, and Error Budgets
- LeadMajor Incident Management (MIM) and root cause analysis
- Buildself-healing systems and reduce MTTR
- Drive chaos testing and resilience improvements
5. Observability & Monitoring
- Implement monitoring and logging using:
- Splunk
- Prometheus
- Grafana
- AppDynamics
- Establish proactive alerting and anomaly detection
6. Security & Compliance
- ImplementZero Trust Architecture and IAM controls
- Integrate WAF solutions such as
- Akamai
- Ensure compliance withISO standards, audit frameworks (e.g., ECB)
- Enforce security best practices across CI/CD and infrastructure
7. AI/ML & Advanced Platform Capabilities (Good to Have)
- Exposure toVertex AI-based governance or ML Ops
- Experience integrating AI intochange management / automation workflows
8. ITSM & Process Excellence
- Work with tools like
- ServiceNow
- DriveIncident, Problem, and Change Management (ITIL aligned)
