Patient Flow Coordinator

Shift: 1000-1830 or 1100-1730 (8 hours with 30 minute lunch)

DEFINITION: The Admissions Nurse, under the supervision of the Lead House Supervisor and CNO, is responsible for (l)All areas of the Hospitals Vision, Mission, and Guiding Principles are adhered to, (2) Bed Control/Room Assignments, (3) Receives physicians order for direct and scheduled admissions(4) Directs the throughput of patients accessing care services. (5) Works with the House Supervisor to set priorities for patient placement and transfer. (6) Maintains a cooperative relationship with the hospital and department staff and leadership,(?) Serves as a medical resource person. 
 

EDUCATION:Graduate of Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse program with current Oklahoma license 
 

REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE): 
 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Minimum one-year job related experience is recommended. 
 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in health care computer and typing desired. Must demonstrate competency in receiving and transcribing physician's orders, good interpersonal, and communication skills required.
