Backend Java Developer

Position Summary

We are looking for an experiencedBackend Java Developer to support a large-scale, cloud-native enterprise application. The ideal candidate will have strong backend development experience and be comfortable working in an establishedJava microservices environment, contributing across development, testing, deployment, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java-based backend services and microservices.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs using Spring/Spring Boot.
• Work with PostgreSQL and troubleshoot application/database issues.
• Deploy and support applications in AWS cloud environments.
• Work with containers, Git/GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using automated testing practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues across applications, services, and databases.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, DevOps, and other team members in an Agile environment.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring/Spring Boot.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL.
• Experience with AWS and cloud-native application development.
• Experience with containers and CI/CD.
• Proficiency with Git/GitLab.
• Experience with automated testing and software development best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures.
• Experience with AWS SNS/SQS.
• Experience with Terraform.
• Experience supporting production-grade enterprise applications.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with strong hands-on backend Java development experience.

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment and across the full software development lifecycle
