Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (Santander CIB)is looking for aFund FinanceAnalyst based in Madrid.

As aFund Finance Analyst, you will supportsenior team members in analysing, structuringandexecutingsubscriptionline facilities, net asset value (NAV)-based financingandasset-based lending (ABL)transactions for private capitalclients, including privatecredit, private equity and infrastructurefunds,from origination toclosing. The role offers exposure to international fund managers and hands-on learning across the transaction lifecycle.

• Build and interpretfinancialand cash flow models, including downside sensitivities, and prepare credit papers and supportingmaterials for internalapproval, under the guidance of senior team members.

• Support due diligence on fund structures, investors, uncalled capital commitmentsandfund documentation, as well as portfolio assets, cash flows and leverage for NAV and ABL transactions.

• Support the negotiationoffinancing documentation, coordinateNDAs and preliminarydocumentationwithLegal, and assist with conditions precedent and internal processes through transaction closing.

• Preparemarketingmaterials, pitches and client analysesto support origination withfund managers and relationship teams.

• Maintain transaction pipelines andinternalreporting, coordinatewith relationshipteams, and support portfolio monitoring, including borrowing base and covenant reviews.

• Work alongsideRisk,Legal,Capital and Marketstosupport transaction structuring and the assessment of pricing, profitability and capital usage within Santander CIB's framework.

Professional Experience

• Solid grounding in financial analysis, credit fundamentals andcapitalstructures (required); familiarity with fund structuresandfinancingdocumentation is a plus, with product-specific knowledge developed on the job.

• Previous experience, including internships,inFund Finance,Structured Finance,credit analysis,M&A, PrivateEquity,or related investment banking,fundor advisoryroles (preferred).

Education

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline (required)

• Postgraduate studies, such as an MSc in Finance or MBA (will be considered a plus)

Languages

• Fluent English, written and spoken (required).

• Fluent Spanish, written and spoken (highly valued).

• Other languages (preferred).

Hard Skills

• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to prepare clear, accurate presentations in PowerPoint (required).

• Sound understanding of financial accounting and financial statements (required); familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks is a plus.

• Ability to build and interpret financial and cash flow analyses in Excel (required); prior exposure to Fund Finance models is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a proactive mindset.

• Strong analytical skills, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities.

• Clear written and verbal communication, teamwork and the ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
