Full Stack Software Developer

Location: Montreal
Work Mode: Hybrid (day 1 onboarding onsite / in-office presence required 3x/week)
Duration: 12 Months Contract Position

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Risk and Compliance teams to build surveillance models.
• Design, implement, and test surveillance models in an agile environment.
• Work with Business Analysts, Scrum Masters, DevOps, and other teams to understand model requirements.
• Enhance the company's resilience to threats and fraudulent behavior.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on software development experience in the Java ecosystem.
• Experience with Spark on big data platforms.
• DevOps CI/CD experience in test and release automation.
• Strong database experience, preferably with DB2, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of the complete SDLC process and Agile Methodology (Scrum).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical users.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Scala and containerized techniques like Docker or Podman.
• Web UI experience using HTML5, JavaScript, Angular/React framework.
• Proficiency in high-quality software architecture and design methodologies and patterns.
• Experience with workflow and rule engines.
• Hands-on data mining and analytical work experience.
• Knowledge of layered and component-based architecture.
• Experience with Unix OS, scripting, and Python.
• Native cloud experience, preferably on Azure.
• Familiarity with design patterns, preferably the GoF set of patterns.
• Experience with XML technologies including SAX, DOM, XSL, and SOAP.
• Proficiency in Excel spreadsheet generation and use.
• Experience with Spring Boot and data access APIs such as JDBC.
