Full-Stack Engineer: Work Directly with the CTO (Hybrid)

Tolt is a platform that enables software companies to launch affiliate programs. The platform provides all the key elements needed to successfully launch and manage the program, such as payments, referral tracking, fraud protection, an affiliate portal, and many other features.

We are still in the early stages, but we have received investments from LAUNCH and Jason Calacanis, and we are working with over 500 exciting startups, such asPrisma.io,Speak.com,OpenArt.ai andVapi.ai, which are currently generating over $1.5 million in additional monthly revenue through affiliate marketing with Tolt.

The entire platform was built by our CTO, two front-end engineers, and ChatGPT. We have big plans and goals for 2025, which is why we need two full-stack TypeScript software engineers who will work on everything.

Since we are still in the early stages, we need scrappy engineers who will ship features every day. We are a backend-heavy software company, which means that you will spend most of your day working on backend (node/aws) rather than on other things.

Overall, you’ll work side-by-side with the CTO, taking ownership of key features and driving the platform’s evolution.

Responsibilities

As a Full Stack Engineer at Tolt, you will:

• Embrace product ownership. Take full responsibility for product features, from initial concept to development, release, and iteration.

• Think like a founder. Act as a mini-CEO for your projects, working closely with the team to align priorities, timelines, and deliverables.

• Interact with users. Connect directly with our users on Slack to offer support and gather valuable insights.

• Join our support efforts. We don’t have a dedicated support team, everyone pitches in. First-hand user feedback ensures we're tackling the real issues.

Requirements

• At least4 years of hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, showcasing your ability to write clean and efficient code.

• OR just1 year of working experience on a SaaS product 🚀.

• Expertise inVanilla JavaScript/TypeScript andReact (frontend) paired withNode.js (backend).

• Knowledge of popular frameworks/libraries like Next.js, Knex, Tailwind

• Proficient in creating complex backend features.

• Solid understanding of relational databases such asPostgreSQL.

• Experience withAWS services, includingSQS,Lambda,API Gateway, andS3.

• Comfortable usingmonitoring and error tracking tools (e.g., Bugsnag) and performingend-to-end testing (e.g., Cypress).

• Founder-like mindset: You're proactive, and articulate, enjoy brainstorming new ideas, and thrive on using user feedback to deliver outstanding results.

• We'd consider it a huge plus if you have SaaS or startup experience!
