Fulfillment Specialst

This person will serve homeschooling families around the United States by picking and packing orders for shipment. We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Fulfillment Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately fulfilling customer orders, processing incoming and outgoing inventory, and maintaining a clean, safe warehouse environment. Your primary goal will be to delight our customers with prompt and precise deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and seal order packages securely according to company standards; select cost-effective shipping options; contact customers directly when address clarification is required.
• Shipping & Receiving: Process small parcel and freight shipments; handle freight loading/unloading; stage packages for carrier pickup (USPS, UPS, FedEx); organize incoming inventory.
• Returns Processing: Inspect incoming returns promptly, update inventory for restock or clearance, dispose of unsellable stock, and coordinate details with Customer Care.
• Inventory & Materials Preparation: Stock packing supplies and shipping boxes; pre-pack literature, student workbooks, and curriculum package kits to prepare for peak seasons.
• Safety & Maintenance:Keep aisles clear, dust mop warehouse floors daily, dispose of trash weekly, and maintain a safe workspace.
• Team Collaboration:Support team members across departments, attend required company meetings or events, and maintain strong, positive working relationships.

Basic Qualifications and Expectations

• Must be 18 years old
• Must have a valid Tennessee driver's license
• Must be able to operate an extended van
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
• Must be able to stand/walk for up to 12 hours
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
• Strong communication skills to report inventory shortages, ask questions, and resolve shipping obstacles proactively.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines, company policies, and core values consistently.
• Flexibility to assist with cross-departmental tasks, seasonal prep, or company trade shows as needed.
