Lead Software Engineer - Java with Spring Boot

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Architect and implement cloud-deployed microservices-based solutions
• Build RESTful APIs and integrate backend services with frontend applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are scalable and maintainable
• Lead technical reviews and provide mentorship to engineering team members
• Make architectural decisions that uphold quality, security, reliability and compliance standards
• Apply Agile and DevOps best practices across the software development lifecycle
• Support and manage CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery processes
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across the application stack
• Use containerization and orchestration tools to deploy and manage services

Requirements

• Strong professional experience (5+ years) in designing and developing with Java 21, Quarkus and Java/JEE
• In-depth expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Security and JUnit
• Working knowledge of relational databases, including Oracle, Sybase and PL/SQL
• Solid exposure to microservices architecture, Azure Cloud and Serverless
• Hands-on proficiency with Kubernetes (pods, containers, services and Istio)
• Experience working with Docker and Redis
• Proven ability to deliver RESTful APIs and integrate backend with frontend
• Familiarity with Git/GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field

Nice to have

• Understanding of UI technologies including HTML5, CSS3 and React (including Hooks)
• Familiarity with JavaScript and TypeScript
• Experience with DevOps and performance tuning
• Capability to implement UX designs into responsive, scalable and maintainable UI solutions following industry standards and patterns
