Lead Developer (m/f/x) | Store ERP Systems

As the IT of the REWE Group Austria, we work together with our more than 700 employees to develop innovative IT products and services for all our corporate divisions in Austria and abroad, setting the tone for modern trade.

Our Team "Store ERP Systems" provides an integrated IT platform that supports all core store processes, ensuring efficient operations, seamless data flows, and a stable technological foundation for retail environments. We’re looking forward to completing our team with a Lead Developer (m/f/d)! 

• Take technical ownership of the design, development, and continuous improvement of Java-based applications and services 
• Drive the implementation of high-quality software solutions using Java and Spring Boot 
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners and business stakeholders to translate requirements into pragmatic technical solutions 
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and code reviews to support the growth of team members 
• Support projects throughout their entire lifecycle, from concept to implementation 
• Analyze existing systems and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement 

• Completed technical education (HTL, FH, TU) or a comparable qualification 
• Several years of experience in software development, with a focus on designing and implementing software systems 
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, modern software architectures, and software engineering best practices 
• Experience in leading developers or acting as a technical lead within agile teams 
• Hands-on experience with Java/Kotlin (Spring Boot), RESTful APIs, microservices, integration patterns, and distributed systems
