Most finance jobs that mention AI really mean “we bought a license.” This one is different. At Packer Freight, we’re deploying agents to handle the tedious stuff so we can focus on what makes us different – building human relationships with our favorite carriers and shippers. We need more talent to wrangle these tools.

You’ll be the person who makes sure the agents get the carrier paperwork right. You’ll decide what they do when they hit something they can’t handle. And you’ll keep making them smarter. You don’t need to be an AI expert. If you’ve been experimenting with ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot and thinking “this could do so much more,” we want to talk.

What you’ll actually do

Own the details. Carrier invoices and payments need to be accurate. Agents help flag errors so you can resolve discrepancies and get carriers paid.

Make us better. Every exception tells you something. Is it a one-off, or should we handle it differently from now on? You’ll refine the rules, tolerances and instructions.

Keep carriers happy. Carriers are our partners, and getting paid right and on time matters. Technology helps, but our people make the difference.

Qualifications

You might be a fit if you…

· Have 2+ years in an accounting or finance role (strongly preferred)

· Catch the error everyone else missed, and want to know why it happened

· Are curious about AI tools and already experimenting with them, even just for fun

· Like making judgment calls on messy problems without a step-by-step manual

· Communicate clearly in writing and on the phone, with carriers, coworkers and leadership

· Are comfortable in Excel and Outlook, and pick up new software quickly
