About Daptic
Daptic is building the future of regulatory intelligence, with the mission to empower global manufacturers to navigate complex regulations seamlessly and accelerate the global launch of physical products.
With government regulations and standards becoming increasingly complex, product delays and innovation roadblocks are more common than ever. Daptic automates the identification and analysis of relevant regulations, standards, and product requirements, allowing R&D teams to focus on what they do best: creating groundbreaking products within automotive, aerospace, construction, medicine and healthcare, and beyond.
Currently, with a small focused team, we’re proud to be supporting the development of products used by over 100 million people worldwide.
We’ve secured over $22M in total funding from Canvas Ventures, IA Ventures, 8VC, and other institutional investors who believe in our vision to revolutionize product development.
The Role
As Daptic’s Founding Business Development Representative (BDR), you’ll lead and define our high-touch outbound motion. Your core mandate is figuring out how we win on the phones: building the playbooks and scripts, deciding which accounts and personas to prioritize, and turning the results of every call into insight the team can act on.
You’ll work directly with our Growth Engineer to scale outbound, helping design and implement the systems that give each conversation more leverage. You’ll also partner closely with our Account Executives, feeding them field notes and first-hand buyer insight that help close more deals. You’ll build genuine relationships with leaders across our market, on the phone, at conferences, and through creative approaches.
This role is a balance of high volume cold calling and strategic relationship building. One day it’s 150 cold calls. The next it’s flying to the midwest to host a dinner with regulatory leaders.
Core Responsibilities
Cold Calling and Outbound
Run high-volume cold calling to regulatory, compliance, homologation, engineering, and R&D leaders across automotive, aerospace, mobility and robotics, industrials, consumer electronics, med-tech, and beyond.
Support calls with targeted email and LinkedIn touches, building the playbook and account priorities with our Growth Engineer.
Book high-quality first meetings that you’ll lead and/or handover to account executives.
Own and exceed weekly targets for dials, conversations, and qualified meetings.
Chase no-shows to get meetings back on the calendar.
Conferences and Events
Represent Daptic at trade shows, industry conferences, and field events.
Pre-book meetings with attendees, work the floor, and follow up with leads.
Help coordinate event logistics, from attendee lists to booth materials.
Tooling and Workflow
Help build and maintain lightweight tooling alongside our Growth Engineer: call lists, sequences, CRM automations, and AI-assisted research.
Report back what you hear on the phones and the floor in a systematic way
What We’re Looking For

Experience using AI tools like Claude in your daily workflow for research
Available to work in our office in New York City at least 4 days a week.

Bonus
You’ve sold to enterprise buyers.
You’ve sold to leaders in manufacturing, R&D, regulatory, or compliance functions.
You build things nobody asked you to build. Side projects, internal tools, a
company you started.
What We Value
You love talking with people and building relationships.
You are analytically minded and use data from your role to decide what to try next.
You pride yourself on your ability to apply sustained effort, and don’t take a “no” personally.
You have high self-accountability; when your name is on something you see it to completion.
You’re generally curious and always seek the big picture.
You look for and appreciate feedback and see it as a way to improve.
